Welcome

Environmental Awareness
DSDS is committed to a strong environmentally sustainable future. Rather than banter on about solar panels and water tanks, DSDS is out there in the thick of it; experimenting with technologies, researching and developing new solutions then implementing these technologies and solutions once tested. Some of these include solar powered in slab heating (Hydronic), new generation LED lighting, and Hydronic cooling.

Working in 3D CAD allows us to finely tune our solar access throughout the day incorporating not only the building in relation to the sun, but the terrain, local structures, and plantings.

At DSDS we believe that environmentally sustainable design is not a catch phrase, we believe that environmentally sustainable design is common sense.

Solar access and thermal convection simple, sustainable, common sense! SMART SLAB - hydronic heating and cooling pipes, data and electrical cabling and under slab insulation prior to pouring.
Core filled concrete blocks provide thermal mass and stabilises internal temps. Insulation ensures that the warmth and coolth of this Armidale home stays inside the dwelling. Thermal mass walls allow for insulated timber floors to be used.
